The brief
During my time on an internship with Fantastic Media, I was given the opportunity to develop and refresh the visual identity of family-owned German kitchen supplier Prestons Kitchens.
Positioned within a competitive market alongside household names like Wren Kitchens, kutchenhaus and Howdens, the client required a bright and revitalising update to its branding system. These changes were then required to be rolled out across their website, social media posts, adverts, email promotions and vouchers.
The challenge
Working alongside established competitors required a visual system that stood out amongst other names while still communicating trust, quality and value.
With marketing spanning across print, digital, social and video mediums, the existing branding lacked consistency, which presented the focal challenge: creating a refreshed visual system that was contemporary and bright, while retaining consistency and staying adaptable across a variety of formats and platforms.
The solution
To address this problem, I worked alongside the senior designer to create a new and unified visual system. This involved the introduction a secondary font, a new and adaptable colour palette system, and a sticker-style visual motif.
The system was built to be modern and flexible, allowing it to easily transfer across different digital touchpoints including their website, social media promotions, digital adverts and printed vouchers.
